5 Health Benefits of Kombucha

Kombucha is a green or black tea drink that is fermented. Kombucha is produced by fermenting tea using a symbiotic ‘colony’ of bacteria and yeast,  also known as scoby.

    It is high in antioxidants, which are great for the  immune system and increase  energy levels.
  2. It detoxifies and helps prevent a wide variety of diseases. Detoxification produces healthy livers and aides cancer prevention.
  3. It contains glucosamines, which help in preventing and treating all forms of arthritis.
  4. It supports a healthy gut.
  5. It prevents and heals stomach ulcers.

 

Green Pesto – Easy Raw Recipe

 

 

This pesto is super easy to make and delicious. I like to serve it with pasta but feel free to enjoy it the way you want to.

Ingredients

2-3 handful of fresh basil

2-3 handful of fresh parsley

3 garlic cloves, if you don’t like the taste of garlic use less

1/3 cup  ( 5 tbsp) seeds of your choice. I used some ready bought mix of different seeds

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

1 handful cashews ( soaked over night)

1/8 cup  ( 30 ml) apple cider vinegar

1/3 cup ( 80 ml) extra virgin olive oil

black pepper

 

Put everything in a blender and there you go.

Raw Vegan Tomato Sauce – Delicious and easy to prepare

A quick and simple delicious tomato sauce.  Feel free to change it up according to your taste!

Enough for 2 people if served with pasta.

Ingredients

6 tomatoes chopped

a handful of sun dried tomatoes chopped ( I prefer mine in olive oil but without salt)

100 ml ( ca 1/2 cup)  extra virgin olive oil  Or less if you prefer it more chunkier

1 tbsp fresh parsley

2 garlic cloves chopped

1 tbsp nutritional yeast

oregano, basil and pepper to taste

chili (optional)

 

Put everything in a food processor or blender, and there you go. Can be heated up if desired.

Lesson 6

You are what you eat!

Yes I know you have probably heard this sentence a million times. However it is very important to acknowledge the fact that food plays a major role in your life. If you feed your body with garbage and poison, in the end you are going to feel  and look very bad. If you wanna feel and look healthy you have to eat and drink healthy food.

COCONUT CHOCOLATE ENERGY BALLS

Raw & Vegan Energy Balls made with coconut flour and dates. 

I love to come home after work and snack on a couple of energy balls. Usually I am hungry and they fill me up just enough so I don’t feel stuffed before dinner. I created this recipe because  I wanted to use some of my coconut flour that I bought per accident. Sometimes I apparently can not differentiate between coco and cacao when buying stuff 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup or 240 ml coconut flour
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 10 dates
  • 1 handful of raisins
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1/2 cup or 120 ml  water,  or as much as necessary so the balls stick together

Put all the ingredients in a blender. Then shape the paste into balls using your hands or a spoon. Refrigerate.
